Module 2: Seeing Strength

The First Ascent Program is built on a strengths-based foundation — in other words, a focus on your unique abilities, characteristics, and traits that make you especially good at doing certain things.

We define strength as the unique combination of your abilities, traits, and personal characteristics that make you particularly good at certain things.

In this lesson, we’ll cover:

  • What “strength” really means
  • The signature strengths of individuals on the autism spectrum
  • The two common cognitive profiles, and how you can apply these to identifying your strengths
  • Redefining the word “autism” to help you gain confidence in your strengths and communicate them to others
